The Colchester Half Marathon couldn't happen without the support of our amazing event volunteers. It's the perfect way to get involved if running isn't your thing, and help us support our amazing local charity partner, The Robin Cancer Trust.

This year, thousands of runners will be hitting the streets of Colchester to raise money for The Robin Cancer Trust, and your support will help them every step of the way. You’ll meet new people, make great memories, and keep the energy buzzing all day long (from around 7:30am to about 1pm depending on your role on the day!). It’s true, it’s a big day, early start, lots of steps, and all sorts of weather (pack that raincoat and sunscreen!) but trust us, it’s 100% worth it.

From helping us set up the event, to cheering our runners (and keeping them safe), to handing out medals at the finish-line, our inspirational volunteers are the heart & soul of this incredible community race.

🎒 Baggage Crew – safe hands for runners’ belongings

🪧 Signage Team – help us get the course ready in the week leading up to race day

⚠️ Volunteers must be 16+ on race day (or accompanied by a supervising adult).
